2025 Mercedes Benz EQS450+ Sedan

The luxury German car-maker continues developing and enhancing its new lineup of electric cars, including the elegant full-electric EQS 450 Sedan that I am test-driving.
The new EQS is an electrified version of the luxurious S-Class sedan, offering powerful performance, a sophisticated interior design, and a modern, futuristic exterior shape that can make you fall in love with EQ cars.
Mercedes-Benz’s portfolio of all-electric vehicles keeps getting better and offering more models and options that come with new updates and innovations. The automaker is moving at a slow but firm pace, compared to other car manufacturers, but producing each car as a precious work of art.
EQ lineup
The Mercedes-Benz EQ lineup continues to grow, including EV electric vehicles such as the EQS Sedan, EQS SUV, EQE Sedan, EQE SUV, EQB SUV, EQC, EQA, EQV, and EQT.
“EQ” means fully electric vehicles, representing both “Electric” and “Intelligent” cars. We are talking about luxury and electric cars featuring some of the most advanced technology available, but not at a low price.
Mercedes wants to create the most intelligent electric ecosystem in the automobile industry. EQ cars include an advanced electromobile ecosystem with features, services, technologies, and innovations that are difficult to find in other car producers, but these amazing cars are not cheap.
If you want to own one of these art-piece-vehicles, you gotta pay the price, and in cars like the EQS, your dream electric-car pricing starts around $99,0000 MSRP or higher as you add more features and go up into higher-level trim models.
EQS S-Class
As you can notice, the EQS sedan includes the S letter. If you refer to Mercedes-Benz automobiles, any S model is a special class vehicle. S-Class cars are the top of the line, setting the limit for advanced technology, superior driving tools, and unparalleled luxury style typical of the German car manufacturer.
The EQS is not an exception to the S-class luxurious and advanced features. The basic EQS450+ rear-wheel drive (RWD) sedan has an MSRP cost of $99,900, which is not inexpensive, nor a regular sedan.
The EQS 450 4Matic (All Wheel Drive) sedan has a base price of $102,900 MSRP.
The EQS is a work of art car model that offers one of the best electric car powertrains you can find on a luxurious sedan.
The two key elements that make this brand outstanding are refined elegance and high-end technology. When you drive the EQS, elegance and tech features are present everywhere.
EQS sedan models look different than other standard Mercedes-Benz cars. Modern styling and a futuristic design differentiate EQ cars from non-electric Mercedes-Benz cars, but all MB sedan models, electric or non-electric, maintain key design elements, elegance, and luxury details typical of the German automaker.
Mercedes EQS with Outstanding Exterior and Interior Design
Mercedes-Benz’s all-electric vehicles have a modern, deep black panel grille, which connects seamlessly with the front headlights. The design of the EQS Sedan has been improved and refined with a unique front fascia.
The new grille design features flush-mounted chrome slats for an elegant contrast to the deep black surroundings.
A new star on the hood and a standard AMG Line bumper provide a beautiful exterior design that is almost impossible to dislike.
As we look at the modern and luxurious interior of the EQS Sedan, you find chrome accents on the climate control vents on the B-pillars, and the best shaped seats with an ultra minimalistic and clean, elegant look.
The comfort pillows for rear passengers are enhanced with contrast stitching and Nappa leather piping, which makes me want to move the EQS seats into my living room, it just feels and look so good on the inside.
EQS Sedan models equipped with the optional Pinnacle Trim with Executive Interior Package feature a front passenger seat that can also fold forward to provide additional space for second row occupants, along with a backrest for the rear seat that can be adjusted up to 38 degrees.
Rapid heating rear seats, neck and shoulder heating for rear passengers, as well as pneumatic adjustment of the rear seat depth, are some of the features you can find on this package. Another exclusive element is the illuminated trim accents integrated into the back of the front seats. It is bright and luxurious, a bit flashy but with class.
Enhanced comfort is part of the standard rear seats in the EQS Sedan. The angle of the backrest for the rear seats can be adjusted from 27 to 36 degrees at the touch of a button, and an additional 0.2 inches of foam has been added to the rear seat backrest.
EQS Updates
Battery
For the 2025 model year, the EQS Sedan introduces numerous upgrades with a more efficient and larger battery for an increased electric range of almost 400 miles per charge (390 mi), along with new standard and optional equipment. The all-new battery has an increased usable capacity of 118 kWh for improved electric range.
Many of us worry about battery life on electric cars, and for peace of mind when buying an EQS sedan, its warranty covers 10 years or 155,000 miles.
Braking Software
Helping to produce and save energy, a new regenerative braking software enables greater energy recuperation.
Due to the high proportion of recuperation with regenerative braking, the brake discs in the EQS Sedan are used less often during regular driving compared to models with combustion engines.
An advanced software helps maintain the brake system by automatically applying the pads to the discs from time to time.
Tech
More technology includes the new MBUX hyperscreen. The EQS Sedan can be easily started and locked with the standard KEYLESS-GO comfort package and Digital Vehicle Key with compatible devices.
