The most frequently visited countries in the world

More than 1 billion and a half international tourists travel to all continents of the world every year.

Traditionally, the top three most popular countries are France, Spain, and the United States of America.

Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus are ranked 16th, 30th, and 86th respectively – out of 216 countries that provide tourism statistics to international organizations.

The most dynamic growth in tourism is in Thailand, which is ahead of the UK at 9th. The increase in visits is also driven by the massive expansion of Asian low-cost airlines, which have significantly reduced airfares to this popular destination, which until recently was less affordable.
